The
Black Hills, South Dakota.
May-August 2005.
It was the summer after my Freshman
year at college.
For some reason, my
heart goes here first in re-collecting times & places past. Here, in the midst of gen. ed. science studies, outside adventures (that glorious lightning!), & daily life with peers, God began to stir in
me a clearer awareness of sin & His present love there within.
I picked up an
agate stone in one of our outings.
To this day, that little rock reminds me of these truths: God is my rock, He is light in
darkness, & my God is faithful...O so wonderfully faithful.
“Now the Lord is the
Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces
contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with
ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
